New Myth is an entry log from Future Ancestral Technologies series and documentation of a performative action to repair our future relationship to water.

As living beings, we all have myths and tales that describe our lives being abused by monsters. These monsters are out of natural order and human beings rise from their torment to defeat them. Monster Slayers found in every culture set out and sacrifice their life for the continuation of existence. Today, we are once again plagued by monsters. It is time to be the human beings, each of us must be aware of what we can do in the place that we stand. So that a far future that remembers this era of monsters can sing the songs and dance the stories of our ability to come together and become Monster Slayers. We combat this daunting impossible task of freeing ourselves with every action, affecting the whole, slaying the monster.  The monstrosity of the oppressive systems which we have been forced to function within are monsters. One way these toxic systems may be destroyed are bit by bit. Monster slayers are told of within my own heritage and around the world and exist in tandem with archetypes of monsters. New Myth speaks further to an ongoing recognition within my work of the agency we have to slay our present day monsters.
